About Catch the Peak
Catch the Peak is a year-round guide to when and where nature is at its best in the US: cherry blossoms, desert superblooms, bluebonnets, tulips, wildflowers and fall foliage.
Why it exists
Knowing when to go is scattered across dozens of one-season, one-place pages. We bring the ones that are free to reuse (National Park Service and Forest Service pages, federal weather and climate data, volunteer observations from the USA National Phenology Network) into one place for the whole year, so you can see what's peaking now and plan for what's next.
What every page gives you
- When it usually peaks, from past seasons as its source describes them, and a dated report when an official one exists.
- What's worth seeing there through the rest of the year.
- The sources behind every date, under “How we know”. Read how we set stages and forecasts.
How it's paid for
One sponsor, shown in the same panel on every page, for a flat fee. No ad networks and no tracking cookies. The sponsor has no say in what the pages report.
